SISTER Connection – Tucson

Spiritually IStep to Encourage Restoration

SISTER Connection is a 501c3 Christ-centered outreach welcoming any woman who has been impacted by the prison system, is on probation or parole or releasing from jail or prison. We proved a supportive, informative, caring atmosphere where women are encouraged and empowered to take personal responsibility for themselves and their families, and to nuture their relationship with Christ and others.

This ministry helps formerly incarcerated women overcome the extraordinary barriers they face by assisting them to build and nurture their relationship with God, their families and their community. In addition, SISTER Connection facilitates networking with employers, community programs, court systems, Child Protective Services, landlords, businesses, churches and food banks giving them the opportunity and information to make successful choices.

As the number of women reentering the judicial system increases at an alarming rate of 85%; SISTER Connection in Tucson and Phoenix offers a Christ-centered alternative to this cycle of return. Speaking into their lives with the plan God has for them, SISTER Connection continues to make a difference. To learn more about this ministry please contact Pastor Jennifer at Tortolita and Cheryl Tuck, Director of SISTER Connection, through the website www.sister-connection.org.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

Young Life ~ Northwest Tucson ~ Marana, Flowing Wells & Amphitheater High Schools and Middle Schools

Young Life doesn’t start with a program. It starts with adults concerned enough about kids to go to them, on their turf and in their culture, building bridges of authentic friendship. These relationships don’t happen overnight — they take time, patience, trust and consistency.

We believe in the power of presence. Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them. Because their leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.

This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today, based upon God’s love for them, will impact future decisions … careers chosen, marriages formed and families raised. All ripples from the time when a Young Life leader reached out and entered their world.

For more information or to get involved with Young Life in northwest Tucson please contact Pastor Jennifer at Tortolita or Jake Hawbaker, Area Director through the website www.nwtucson.younglife.org
